Happy New Year! Happy New Books!

The Brandon Township Public Library would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

In 2008 I am personally challenging you to read new titles, read old classics, read banned books (they're good for the brain), and broaden your mind. Here are some new teen titles coming soon:

Manga titles: "Black Cat", "Death Note", "Kitchen Princess"

Biographies: Hilary Duff, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, Zac Efron, Jennifer Lopez, Derek Jeter, Jesus of Nazareth, Muhammad, Vera Wang, Bruce Lee, Ellen Ochoa, Stephen King, and Thomas Jefferson.

Non-Fiction: "The Manga Cookbook", "Island of the Lost: Shipwrecked at the Edge of the World", "The Signing of the Magna Carta", "Meningitis", "What If Someone I Know Is Gay", "Human Papillomavirus (HPV)" and more.

Fiction: "Nick and Nora's Infinate Playlist" and "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List" by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, "The Rogues" by Jane Yolen, "Little (Girrl) Lost" by Charles de Lint, "Dread Locks" by Neal Shusterman, "Bad Kitty" by Michele Jaffe, "Love is a Many Trousered Thing" by Louise Rennison, "Remembering Raquel" by Vivian Vande Velde, "Extras" by Scott Westerfeld, "Wicked Lovely" by Melissa Marr, "American Born Chinese" by Gene Luen Yang, "Snakehead" by Anthony Horowitz, "Darkwing" by Kenneth Oppel, "Tyrell" by Coe Booth, and many, many more.
